  • Why is it always...

whenever you want to do something your back goes?!

I felt my back go "ping" whilst on holiday, but it's been kind of ok since - I've been a little stiff, but other than that. Sciatica has been niggling away pretty much since we got back, but this morning when I got out of bed!

Was hoping with the fantastic weather this weekend to get down the plot and get some good stuff into the ground, plant some onions/garlic and do a bit of a tidy up.

You can guarantee that as soon as I get my back sorted the weather will turn shite!

On a lighter note we've been out and bought some bits and bobs that will hopefully finish off the nursery nicely - will probably get most of the decorating done tomorrow (it's a small room).

    Stay healthy people.

Oh, and I've got a bit of a cold.

take heart that it's a touch too early and warm for planting garlic - but I am sorry you have back stuff going on, it is a pain (!) and so gets in the way.

You know what to do about the sciatica - just the same as I do

Now if you lived over here HeyWayne, you wouldn't have worried about not getting to the lottie! Drizzle all yesterday and dull and a bit foggy just now!

Hope the back is sorted swiftly and the weather stays good for you.

Would love to see a picy of the finished nursery HW. Our poor kids have never had the luxuory (SP?-dur!) of a nursery to themselves - we didnt get out act together in time for Hannah and then didnt have the space for one for Daniel as (although we had been househunting throughout that pregnancy) we didnt move in to this house till he was 5 months! I always had a vision of how it would be though - enjoy this time it is a real blessing this next year to come.

                Lots of love.

Bad enough to stay at home today. Once I get moving around a bit I'll feel better I'm sure. At least painting isn't to strenuous.

I do sympathise, having suffered sciatica for a year. It wasn't until I started swimming that it went, so if you can get down to a local pool, try a gentle paddle. Hope it eases, soon Wayne. Back pain is one of the most depressing things! Take care and gentle stretches are a must. If you can get a shiatsu massage, I recommend that, too. Very gentle and more about stretching than muscle manipulation.

Well I have been told by my Doc that my neck is crumbling and that I have got to wear a neck brace for the forseeable future!I don't want to for the simple reason that I am self employed and can't afford not to work.

Back giving me aggro too, prepared the courgette now pea bed yesterday planted a million peas, still not finished, knees and back are competing over how achy they feel.

Know how you feel HW, I hate it when I get sciatica but one worse is a pulsing back spasm, which is hell on legs and lasts from a few seconds to a couple of minutes - all I can do is remember to breathe and that's hard, tend to get them a few times a year.

As for the man flu wrap up warm dear, plenty of warm honey, lemon and rum, oh yes and chicken soup apparently
