I get mine mainly from the back of Wickes - they pile up the ones they can't sell and are happy to let me have as many as they've got. I'd try B&S, sainsburys, local industrial estates etc etc.

I've been trying freecycle for ages...no joy. I seem to be good at giving things away on it, but can't get anything I need!

I was thinking of trying places like that, but I have a phobia about asking for things from people....must be a rejection issue! lol

I have a huge timber yard local, and today whilst driving past I noticed PILES and PILES of pallets. I'd imagine they'll be selling them...rather than giving them away.

Just DON'T use the blue Chep pallets they are rented out & Chep prosecute for wrong use if you are caught with them.

Give the yard a ring and see what they say, can't hurt.

If they have piles of them, then yes they probably sell them on. but, I'm guessing one pile is of broken or non-sellable ones.

it would probably be doing them a favour and if they say no, no harm done! Just ask if they've got any pallets that are broken or that they aren't selling on.

It's still a bugger to get them prised apart, but so good when you do manage to get them in pieces.

Garden Centres often have them as some stock is delivered on them. They'll probably be grateful if you want to take some.

Ask any independent shop, ie. not a chain. I have friends who have a shop selling furniture, pictures, ornaments and nicknacks. They get everything delivered on Pallets, and would love someone to take them away.

I've can lay my hand on about half a dozen, but you're not local enough lol.

Industrial estates normally have loads lying around or Wickes/B&Q as mentioned previously. What about building sites?
