  • When sheds attack

Be warned people - when opening your shed door.

Last weekend I went to open the shed - I have three locks, one at the top, middle and bottom of the door. I open them in that order, working down. The last lock involves me crouching down to get at the padlock.

Anyway, I'd unlocked the first two, then crouched down to open the third and I heard something fall inside the shed, and then "slide" down the wall of the shed - or so I thought. On opening the door my hoe and long handled azada fell out and hit me on the side of the nose - right where the little pads of a pair of glasses sit.

    I said a few words.

Luckily it didn't bruise , but it's still a bit tender today.

So, if you hear something move in the shed when you open the door - stand back.

I did think about opening the locks in the other order, but the hoe would have hit me somewhere else, and try explaining that your hoe has hit you in the knackers to your wife!!!

Sounds like you need some tool hooks...
Stuff doesn't fall out of my shed, but I have a pallet as a step to prevent a mud bath next to the door, so I have to be really careful not to fall in the shed... Crutches and pallets don't mix well

Something along the lines of, 'Oh dear, the hoe seems to have fallen on my nose, Ouch.'??

Or something more akin to an Eminem outburst?

my toddlie has not yet got the hang of bending down to pick somethig up and not whacking his head on the kitchen table when he gets up again... am sure he will get it soon (by the time he's about 8 probably lol) I now have this reflex action whenever he bends down my hand shoots out and grabs the corner of the table! I have seen my mum do something similar when he is at hers too.....

Hey Wayne I hope you are feeling better now!

My daughter made me laugh today! She was attacked by her stairs and hoover at her home yesterday! LOL She just called me and said she was on her way downstairs, dyson hoover in hand. She lost her fotting, the hoover bounced down the stairs hitting each one in turn! Then hit the big cupboard at the bottom and smashed into a few bits!

Luckily for her the hoover bounced out of the way as she came tumbling down after it, twisting her foot bashing her bit toe and grazing her shin. She has also pulled her shoulder where she tried to stop herself by grabing the stair rail. She is feeling better today but her foot and her big toe still hurt.

Why is it that inanimate objects cause us such paine??

your right there Janeyo, yeah I laughed first and asked if she was alright after! It is human nature to laugh. She was laughing when she told me!

What an eventfull couple of weeks she has had! she passed her DC exam at work 71% she was 11% above the average pass mark, clever girl!

Then her misshap on the stairs and now the proposal as well! Its all kicking off in Orpington!
