I've been lucky this year not too much lost to pests.
        Slugs/snails - sweet corn 40 seeds planted 3 survive.
Pigeons - Cabbage almost a total loss there are some fat pigeons about & never there when I'm around!!
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

          Caterpillars......

Things are everywhere!!! Cabbage white...... not sure how as all cabbages are covered with double netting and have been since they were transplanted.

Sawfly ( i think ) all over my blackberries and rasberries.

And also got another furry one on blackberry... although i can't remeber the name of that one at the moment!

Any one recommend a spray i can use to kill these horrible munching good for nothing creatures???

          Also ideas for deterrant???

                Slugs I thought decapitating seedlings:
                Kale nero di toscana
                Cabbage April
                Broccoli Sprouting Autumn Spear
                Cauliflower All Year Round
                Cauliflower Romanesco

..until wandering out tonight to sow a pot of dwarf runners, I see a big fat snail lingering faaar to close to the solitary butternut squash seedling!

Not really had major damage, but:

Caterpillars on my pak choi, choi sum, cabbbages, sprouting and kohl rabi. I haven't netted these, as nets don't look nice I go out every day and catch them to put on the bird feeder.

Aphids on my strawberries and fruit trees.

Tiny white caterpillar/larvae type things eating tiny holes on my raspberry leaves - does anyone know what they might be? They are white with black heads.

                    slugs
                    snails
Aphids on the cherry tree and trying hard for the broad beans but not surviving long.
mystery eater on one of my aubergine plants - leaving holes in the leaves but I can't find the culprit
So far the squirrels, magpies and pidgeons haven't been at my crops ( apart from a bit of digging from the squirrels) The birds seem happy with the worms in the lawn which suits me.
