What a rubbish day!

Bum. Sometimes it happens. It does make you think that your own troubles are often much smaller than you thought. I hope there is eventually some light at the end of these people's tunnels.

Yup, made me think that a lot of the things I am currently worrying about are so small and insignificant compared to other people's issues, and I really shouldn't "sweat the small stuff" as they say....

Better your sister splits now if its that bad, no point in them staying together, and if they have got kids I dont believe in staying for the sake of the kids. I like a fool stayed with my ex for 18 years by which time we had four boys, very hard time and his new wife tried to make friends with me huh as if b***h.
I hope things get better soon.

Tough times, I had lots of days like that. One mountain after another.
Take a deep breath.
When times were tough for me last and early this year, I would, on my way into work, say to myself - please one nice thing today, it can be small, just as long as it is nice.
I found so many nice things. A robin singing, a nice flower, nice clouds...there was a buzzard once, sitting on a post just feet from the road, soaking wet... sure as heck he winked at me. All little things, but big things for my hurting heart!
Again .... big hugs for a naff day

Thanks everyone! I ordered my sister some flowers yesterday to cheer her up.

I got home last night and did some digging and weeding, very theraputic. Then I went and sat with my rabbits for a while and just watched them doing rabbity-things which was very relaxing as well

On my way into work I also watched out for nice things, and saw alpacas, llamas, and some ostriches, so that cheered me up no end!

I decided a while ago that yes I may have a worse life than a few people I know, but I'd wager I have a better life than millions out there.

I know, bet you didn't realise how exotic the coast of lancashire was!!

There are a couple of farms/smallholdings with llamas and alpacas, and a couple of places who breed ostriches for meat round here.... of course we still get the boring normal animals like sheep and cows!

Sheep and cows aren't boring bach, they are some of the most beautiful animals in the world. Look at how many people paint cows, their faces are so expressionate. Sheep are very charming to watch especially when there are lambs involved, ewes are some of the most caring, easy going and tolerant mothers I have ever known.

Life in all forms is very precious bach, but sometimes we become too blinkered to see it. Hope your having a better day today.
