If you leave them outside empty they collect them and use them again.

should be strong enough or collect leaves in them in autumn, pop a few holes in them and let the leaves rot down

I have one I've just brought inside as I do have some charity stuff for them. The bag is quite flimsy - I don't think they would hold leaves all through the summer. And they're not light proof so wouldn't do for spuds. Anyway as I said.... they're not free give-away bags, they want them back - full or otherwise..LOL !!

Yeah I appreciate that a lot are for good charities, some however are businesses making money from the stuff you put in.
Also the number of bags that come through my door on a weekly basis is ridiculous.
As for as I'm concerned if it comes through my door, it is to do with as I wish, as I tell the bettaware catalogue bloke

I bet I could fill a small room in the house with the amount of cr*p that comes through the door and it annoys me from a personal and environmental perspective.

The one I have is from SCOPE which I have heard of so I know that's legit. We do also get leaflets asking for clothes and household goods and as I know that some of these are scams I just put them all in the bin. In the main I think the ones which are scams don't provide a bag - and they do wind me up too!

If its a charity I know of, I'll put something in it, but if I'm dubious in any way I'll use it for something else. I do have periodic clear outs anyway.
I agree with Mustard, once its through my door, its mine!

i get sick of leaving them outside my door and they are not recollected, its annoying. I give them a week and then I do with them how i like.
I am sick of the **** that keeps coming through the door. AVON woman comes every month and every month her catalogue goes out the same day its posted through my letterbox, then it sits there for 5 days until she collects.

We have had four charity bags in four weeks they follow each other around its ridiculus, I filled two and put them out, and if I tried I could fill the other two as well but I am not ready for sorting out just yet. I have kept them in a drawer then the next time they leave one I try to fill both.

As my local council doesn't do kerbside recycling collections for cardboard and plastic I use the bags to store mine in and then it goes to a friend's house down the road (different council) that do collect it - they however don't collect glass whilst mine does so the swap is fair..

not where i live. It does say on the bag that they do, but they never do.

I beleive that charity begins at home so I put one inside another and use them as bin liners.
