  • wasted our dinner

We never leave food - and I hate waste.

However ... I made a steamed (whole) sea bass for Himself, and pasta for me. He couldn't eat it because it was full of bones, and it's eye exploded in the microwave, so I couldn't eat my dinner either

(good job I bought some Wheat Crunchies and Cornettoes)

Why was it in the microwave if you were steaming it? Or is that a stupid question!

My OH won't eat fish if he comes across a bone in it If I ever want revenge on him for anything, I just have to threaten him with a hair & fishbone pie, the thought of it is enough to make him nauseous
The microwave thing would make me ill, but I won't even buy a fish with it's head still on, so no chance of it happening here

Hope the crisps and cornetto help

My dear auld Dad usually used to spend ages eating a kipper, picking out every single bone!

When he'd been out on the booze and came home to a kipper for his supper it was a case of 'pick it up by the tail' and down the hatch!

I am of-fish-ally (sorry) a complete sicko: I love fish, bones, no bones and....

....I'd have been busy checking it's eye out whilst eating the other bits

(hangs head in shame - shuffles off to bed)

Are you Italian? My Italian flatmate used to suck the brains out of fishies (and she would pour espresso on her cornflakes, instead of milk)

LW's the same with fish bones - can eat her way through a fish of almost any description until she finds a bone, then that's it, game over.

She won't go near whitebait - whilst I love it. Crunch crunch.

Just told my boy that this thread seemed to be about exploding fish eyes.
                      The response:
" Aaaah cool" (Said with a chuckle)

What do you call a fish with no eyes?

                        A fsh!

Works better when you say it rather than type.

How does he think they swim without a skeleton?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                              Very wobbly???

My nephew loves fish eyes...to the extent that he'll steal them off other peoples plates when they've finished.
