| I went to see some allotments today (and two days ago). They're feeling the pressure. We have huge waiting lists around here so am both excited but prepared for disappointment at the same time. Am holding my breath! I may be lucky. Fran |

| Those of us who already have allotments should consider ourselves very lucky indeed. I know we moan about other allotmenteers, the site committee, the council, etc - I'm the first to admit that I'm one of the worst offenders when it comes to having a good whinge - but really I'm incredibly grateful that I'm not on the hunt for a plot now, it must be so disheartening, and so frustrating. Yes, I think we need more allotment sites, but I can't see it happening when every tiny piece of land is being used for building. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Fran. Let us know how you get on. |
