  • Unlocking mobile phone????

I have an old mobile phone [well, old to me] that is locked into vodaphone. I have a new mobile phone which I don't like using.

The old one is a 6301.

Any ideas of the best way to get it unlocked without being scammed?

    Hello,

You could try Free Nokia Unlock Code Generator by GSM Liberty

Or take it to a phone shop and ask if they can do it, it's a shame I no longer work in this industry or I could have done it for you

It's not on any of the free ones unfortunately - I tried one website but they scammed me

I don't mind paying but I do actually want a code at the end of it that works and don't want to be traipsing round town all day.

[It's an old work phone so I wasn't the actual customer so can't ask the network people].

Take it to a phone shop. They usually charge £5 or £10 pounds to unlock. Alternatively call vodaphone. They may also charge but should be able to unlock it for you.

I had the same prob earlier in the year. I bought a code off the internet and it didn't work (they did refund me though) and nobody in town could unlock it either.

The phone co. said they would unlock it after I'd used it for 3 months, but they didn't. They wanted another £30 to unlock it, so I ended up just buying a new phone.

First time we got a phone unlocked it cost us £15, and we had to post it. Nowadays we just buy unlocked ones off e-bay. The 'locked' ones sell quite well too, depending on model.
