Is it me or does Sarah Jessica Parker look like the Grim Reaper in that report?

I didn't even see SJP, but was surprised that Cheryl was a size 6! Anyone fiddling with that would get bruised. No such danger, with me, tee hee!

They've used som cracking examples there:

              Victoria Beckham - hideous
              Nicole Kidman - scary
              Sarah Jessica Parker - bony
              Cheryl Cole - ropey

Give me a woman with curves any day!

              Liv Tyler'll do.

Of course, I'm an adonis myself - but then I only have one woman to please.

Is it just me or does Nicole Kidman's head look too big for her body
I'm lucky that I don't put on weight that easily but reckon I fit the curvy rather than skinny category at the moment. I am a bity confused by the size 14 is huge and overweight comments though. Surely it also depends on your height. My little sister is size 14 but at 6 foot tall she would look like a bag of bones if she was thinner.

I don't trust all those sizes anyway.

                  I am 5' 2" and measure 35-27-38 (thereabouts).
I am diddy, but my clothes are size 10-12.
How thin is Cheryl if she is a size 6?

Hmm, I think stories like this are a pile of carp. Lets face it, most people choose partners who are roughly in the same league of attractiveness as themselves, (unless there is another factor involved such as being stinking rich).
So the average man is not going to have his pick of the Pussycat Dolls even if he wants to. Unless you want to spend your whole life feeling dissatisfied it is a better plan to go for the attainable, ie someone on a roughly similar level to you.

I find it a bit weird that this article is completely biased towards men having the option to pick and choose whichever shape they like, don't us birds get a say?

As for Marilyn Monroe being a size 14, I really don't believe that. Sure, she is more curvy than Nicole Kidman, but she was no fatty.

Most men I know don't judge attractiveness solely on weight anyway, there are gorgeous thin ladies, gorgeous fat ladies, and ugly fat and thin ones too, as well as everything in between. If weight was the only criteria for choosing your partner all hell would break loose!

I agree that it is a very minor factor, but no way is size 14 'fat' (or even 'plump'). As a teenager I was well under the officially 'proper' weight for my height, but I still needed a size 14 in trews..... Most of those thinner than a 12 look like beanpoles!
I suspect that most men (so far as size matters at all) would prefer a woman whose build is suitable for motherhood (there are such things as instincts) to one who would need a caesarian!

Oh sorry, I just re-read my post, and it looks like I'm implying that size 14 is fat -didn't mean to at all. (after all, I'm a 12-14 myself -lol!)

I just don't think Marilyn was anything like a size 14 in today's terms, and I get fed up with journos citing her as an example of a big lady when she is clearly not, I have seen a couple of her dresses in real life and they are teeny, I would just about get one leg in.

                            Proper Curves....

.....I'm not a Nigella fan, but she is a woman with proper curves!

After four children (yes, I blame them, it's their fault ) I'm a size 14 below the waist and a size 16 above. My OH loves it as he says real women have curves.

I've given up worrying about what I am supposed to weigh...life is too short.

                              I wish........
I could say I was curvy..........(it's more lumpy)
I could blame it on having kids.......(yet to start)
I could blame it by saying I love my food too much...(too damn greedy that's me!)

Luckily for me, I have a hubbs that loves me (as long as I'm healthy and not carrying too much unhealthy weight) and though I may think I'm ugly my hubbs disagrees. I'm his sweetie and he is mine!
