Default Tis Panto Time Folks!

Oh no it isn't ......... oh yes it is!

Well that was the first rehearsal tonight. For those of you who have known me on the Vine for a while will know that I am normally appearing on the stage at various times of the year, not necessarily always in panto. But this year I am producing and directing our local panto.

I've gone for Jack and the Beanstalk this year (about the only good script I found) and I've just had my first rehearsal blocking Act 1. Everyone is sooooooo keen. I just hope it lasts! Got the first chorus rehearsal tomorrow and then I will feel I'm on my way ......... Ooh just about to burst into song there.....

So ....... what are having for the virtual panto this year? I am sure you will come up with something extra special which we can start to run nearer the Festive season.

Do I have any offers for principal parts? I'm sure you all want to play the good fairy or wizard. How about the baddie for a change? Or how about an imp or village person - always in much demand as I need so many of them!

Get your thinking caps on and come up with a good one peeps!

Ooohhh!!! Yes please! Can I be in it? I used to be in loads of plays and musicals and stuff up until my early 20's. I don't mind what part I play but can I wear a pretty dress and a sparkly tiara? Can I can I? Maybe some glittery fairy wings?

Good luck though with the real one! Lord, it takes less and less to get me prematurely excited about Christmas these days - still got a summer holiday to go on!

Oh good!! . I loved last years.

We do need to know if the refurbishment of the "Gardener's Rest" is finished and if we now have the added conservatory?

So it was a singing night tonight. Who is up for the chorus?

Everyone liked the song from Annie tonight - Its a Hard Knock Life! I think it could describe my gardening!

Anyone come up with the panto yet. Can't cast it if I don't know what we are doing........

How about
Snow White and the Seven Russets
Jack and the Bean (hmmmmmmmmm - not so sure about that one!)
Alladin goes for Gold

I hope the chorus singing rehearsal went well tonight Jennie. I only sing in the bath, and you'll have to ask Trousers whether I'm any good or not, and don't expect a straight answer to that question....
Nicos - you're an angel in disguise.... Just how funny was that panto?! I've just re-read it and laughed my sox off.

Any New People recently joined the GYO Forum, if you like a good larf, and are willing to take part in this annual complete and utter FARSE, you should get a'practicing projecting your voice darling. This Panto, with Jennie's Theatricals Sweetie, is going to be an absolute 'Blinder' of A Giggle.

Okay... Now I'm living in The Forest of Dean (so you'll have to forgive me!) but How about A Panto called: "IT'S NO BLIGHT and THERE'S SEVERN BOARS".
(sorry, I can't stop laughing - I'll get me coat). Shoot me someone, I beg you!.....
To be honest, I don't think it matters what The GYO Panto is actually called, because given the spurious adlib script, the pulling rugs from beneath other 'actors' feet darling, it is the sheer adlib wit and uniqueness of everyone taking part that will make it the success that it is already bound to be. But I shall watch this thread with sheer glee anyway in anticipation of the starting pistol!
To be honest, it's going to be an absolute riot, whatever we do!
