    I wear my shorts for gardening yesterday
    I put peas in my pocket ready for sowing
    I sow peas
    I put remaining peas in my pocket
    I wash shorts this morning

    .....wet purple podded HSL peas noooooooo

    You need to wet them to get them to grow. The temperature of the water might be more of a problem though! Give 'em a go. That'll teach you not to wash your shorts too often!

        if they survive the water temperature, they will be floppy podded peas due to the softner - dozy mare that I am

            We often tell my OH's daughter that we had a pea in the courtyard or the garden; the look on her face of total grossout is brilliant - every time. She's 11.

              Look on the bright side Piskie - all that softner the peas should have lovely soft skins!

                OK so - I washed my peas at gas mark 40oc and put them through a softener cycle, I groaned on to you lot at how stupid I was, I sowed them into large pots (for patio-standing cos they is purdee) last week - THEY ARE UP AND THROUGH AND AT IT AND GROWING AND STUFF ....ooops sorry, got excited then

                      They shouldn't do. People who soak their peas in parrafin to keep the mice off don't complain that the fruits taste nasty.

                          place in shorts (but ensure to leave peas in the paper packet in pocket)
                          wash shorts at gas mark 40oc
                          separate peas from all the paper
                          iron shorts
                          plant peas
