  • is there a Dr in the house please!!!

at 2am this morning i started getting extreme stomach cramps all over my abdomen! and i mean screaming in pain cramps, i never felt anything like it and i have had 3 kids!!!!

anyway, i still have them every 5 mins and its exhausting - all i had to eat yesterday was a egg sarnie from the bakers and i am hoping after some andrews live salts that its like colic!

what does anyone else think! not felt this bad ever, i dont moan about pain and have a high pain threshold - but this is extreme!

I think you should call a doctor.

Hope you feel better soon, and defo see a doctor if you have not had pains like this before.

I had HORRIBLE pains once, thought I was dying much worse than labour pains, and it was gall stones. Couls it be this? It's quite a hgh up pain, but crampy like labour pains.

Get yourself checked out Su, ring GP or NHS direct, Insist that you need to be seen, it could be lots of things but I'm sure you won't want to be discussing your bowels etc with us! If you are not getting any joy, can you get some one to drive you to A&E?
Don't leave it any longer please.
Hope you're feeling better soon hun. x

does your own surgery not do a call out service? Tell them you need a home visit

Tell the doctor you are not well enough to come down. They can do house calls you know! Don't just grin and bear it. Hopefully it's nothing major but it could be serious.

I'm not a Dr- but my 3 thoughts are - have you still got your appendix????
                  ....are you sweaty hot/cold ( indicating infection/stress)
....and the other is...have to got explosive runs ????

If it's getting worse you should call out a Dr- it might be serious like a bowel infection/appendix.
If it's not that serious, then the Dr can at least give you some drugs to relax your bowel and relieve the pain.
Sorry to hear this.....you're clearly suffering xx

Give the doctor a ring (please!)
I think you sound like you can choose the telephone option 'for an emergency press 1'!
Hope you're ok, it sounds really painful

If the receptionists won't arrange for a house call- then tell them you'll be needing an ambulance then...that should get you a visit pronto

( hope you've shaved your legs lass!!!!) xx

( I was an emergency admission to hosp many years ago with an appendix...whilst waiting for my transport to be arranged I decided to shave my legs quickly...why do these things always happen when you've not shaved for 3 weeks...but there was no hot water- so I went ahead and shave my legs and promptly cut the tops off the goosebumps...blood everywhere!!!!!...now THAT took some explaining in A&E!!!!!!!)

lol, I think we are of the same thoughts, it would have been my first thought too! And having clean undies on. When I had my ectopic (squashy su, could it be that, pains are similar?), and the ambulance finally came, I wanted to put clean pj's on first and clean my teeth! Despite the fact that I couldn't actually move lol.

I agree if they won't send a doc tell them you will require an ambulance.
