Default Terminal 5 Users Refused Insurance

Holidaymakers have been told by several different insurance companies that they will be travelling through the new terminal at their own risk.

The majority of holidaymakers buy single-trip insurance policies just before departure. Only those who took out policies ahead of the shambolic opening of the new terminal will find that they can claim from their insurers if their bags were lost.

However all is not lost. British Airways offers passengers the opportunity to buy the airline's own insurance cover.

BAA is Spanish owned. Both BA and BAA are going to find it hard to retrieve their battered reputations. T5 turned from much heralded showpiece to a laughing stock shambles.
