  • Tabbards

What happened to them, I was watching the victorian farm on the box yesterday, then again it might have been sonething else, but its not important, where have they all gone.

For me it was the distinguising feature of my mamgi, the tabbard. Bring them back, they may be just an excuse to stop your blouse getting mucky, but come on, if it keeps the curry off your chest, its a good thing surely, at least you wouldn't need complex rub in cleaners.

Tabbards, are cool. Bring back the tabbard, you only ever see them on road workers, and at star wars conventions these days, and they are not cool.

Bring back the tabbard in all its glory, floral, button front, it doesn't matter.

TABBARD, TABBARD, TABARD, TABARD, TABBARD, TABBARD.

Tabbard? I thought they were some sort of medieval accessory? Picture needed!

And a heaven in a wild flower

I didn't look at my mamgi that way.

They are purely for the use of the female, here look at this man in a tabbard, it just doesn't work.

I used to have to wear a tabbard as part of my uniform working in a nursing home. I was very glad to throw it on the fire when I left
My nana used to wear what she called an 'overall' but was like a flowery over-dress type affair. Me mam never wore anything like that, just had different outfits for different jobs She had about 4 wardrobes of clothes at any given time!

Me, I just wear 'scruffs' all the time, (I only get dressed up for going out about twice a year if that) no need to change clothes every 5 minutes then.

Overalls, were tabbards in disguise. Are you agoraphobic Sarz, twice a year, doesn't sound like a lot. How do you manage to garden in such as short space of time?

The original 'tabbard' was a sort of mediaeval overshirt. More recently the term got used for a sort of apron (as in the pictures put up). If I'm going to wear an apron, I want a proper one, not something that looks like it was invented in the 60s to be 'different' (it was I believe).
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Hahahaha, good point Mikey Although, I have literally only been out about twice in the last 5 months, not counting hospital appts. But no, I meant going out on the town sort of out
