  • Swimming pool

Took my daughter and her friend to the local pool for the fun session that starts at 1.30pm till 4pm, when we got there the queue was long got nearer the front to find two girls working, both on the phone, surly these calls should be taken in the back office by someone who is just answering the phone at busy times ?
Then heard someone say they were full up, its only 1.35pm manager comes out and say's the babypool is open, but what happens if you have two children in diffrent age groups as the person in front had ? No one knew.
they then let in a few more but only for an hour, note no reduction in price.
It was a complete shambles the staff didnt know what was going on.
There is a playscheme held at the centre and they were using the pool and thats why they were full up.

Bad management in my opinion booking two activities into the same space at the same time. It happens unfortunately, normally when people are on holidays, and you have crossover of staff. If they could only let you in for an hour then there should have been a proportionate allowance paid, which can be difficult if the till is automated or a free swim pass given for a later date (much better option).
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

This particular pool is always and has always been badly managed. They couldnt organise a booze up in a brewery. I had phoned them twice today to find out what was on before we got there.
They seem to be shut when you would think they should be open. During term time the schools use it in the monings so this cuts down on the time its open for the general public, after school its used for swimming lessons and then some nights club use.

I have no problem with that, as its a council pool I'd rather see a pool used than empty. We don't use our local pool instead we have joined a hotel leisure complex which has a pool. It suits us as its open from 7am to 10pm, is hardly used 15-20 people a day, and is perfect for teaching the little one to swim.
