  • Sunday again, How's your weather been?

Blowing a hooligan here and has been for a couple of days. Anyone else got a garden that looks like it is late autumn?

Some quite strong westerly gusts here but not too bad. The outside tomato plants are looking a bit wind swept. Hope it settles down soon for some decent weather eh.

Hello all and a good evening. Today the weather here in Notts. has been very windy. Just Typical. I always sow more seed than I need to, then when I plant stuff out any plants that fail can be replaced from my stock of 'spares'. After the plants have been in for several weeks and all seem to be doing alright my wife takes the 'spares' to school so that the pupils in the gardening club can plant them out. (Much better than seing perfectly viable plants go to waste).

Well, my 'spares' went off to school on Thursday and today the wind has whipped through the lottie and pulverised all my pumpkin, marrow, butter nut and courgette plants. Not one is left standing. Fortunately the ones planted in the garden are alright, so not a total loss.

Must confess, I am not a happy bunny.

Been lovely sunny here but blowing a gale aswel!
I have an old apple tree at the top end of the garden which i love but has scattered half its contents i reckon during the course of the day!!
Had three large courgette plants out that i have had to move in greenhouse they were getting battered!

We have a little staffie dog that has been going around hoovering up the unripened apples!!

                      Evening!

VERY annoyed with the wind; keeps blowing my canes and plants about and I have to keep chasing the washing as it runs down the garden! Apart from the wind it's been a nice day and I've managed to get a few bits done.

Yup, windy here too. hoping that the preventative measures have kept things from getting blown about but won't find out now as not going back down the lottie tonight. Earthed up the toms this morning so fingers crossed.
