  • summer raspberries

late last year i was given some summer fruiting raspberries from my friends mother.
I took them home, created a little bed, dug plenty of muck in, and planted 10 plants 18 inches apart, and the ones that were left over were put to one side in case anyone wanted them.
I have spent the winter looking at these from my window, and occasinally wandering up to check on them.
So when i went out yesterday to have a general tidy up, and enjoy the glorious weather, you can imagine my dissapointment when i find the sack containing my left over raspberries, all of which are in leaf, and probably about a fortnight ahead the ones i put in the ground and pampered so much.

    flippin typical........

    Sods law I`m afraid.
The sack was warmer so they grew alot quicker.

I've got a carrier bag of forgotten(),yet very advanced strawberry plants...brought them home with the intention of potting them on & sadly forgot all about them! They are pretty much ready to blossom!!!...not too sure they'll survive being planted out,so I may pop them in trays in the greenhouse & see what happens.
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
