  • Start a new tradition .....

i was thinking last night .... this is probably the friendliest set of forums on the internet which goes to show what a wonderful bunch we all are .... and we shouldn't keep it just to the internet, we should show just what nice people we are in real life too ........ so .....

when a member gets their first allotment, all us lovely grapes should offer our services and turn up and help dig the plot over, maybe even get a few things planted out, make compost bins out of pallets, help put sheds and greenhouses together etc etc ..... just help that member get off to a flying start ....

and that member could put on a BBQ for the "digging party" and we could all feel good that we'd helped out a fellow member and made new friends ....

i think it's a great idea .... what do you guys think???

We did this as a Wedding Prezzie for Yoanbob, a bunch of us grapes turned up and dug over their plot in the rain, was a fun day! BBQ was also present at that one, was fun to meet up with everyone!

Hmm, in your dreams FG. I don't even dig mine if I can persuade someone (OH) else to do it.
