  • Stained glass windows

I have six stained glass windows in frames and would like to use them at the allotment for something ornamental.

    Any ideas?

Nah Greenleaves, there's no way he could get a ship onto the plot.

One idea i had was screwing a couple of cup hooks ito the top of the frame of one of the panels and hanging it inside, the window of the summerhouse as a 'suncatcher'

If i do this I'll add a piccie to the scrapheap challenge thread and see what you think.!

PS I have a large pub mirror 6 foot high in the summerhouse which I found on the plot. If i can get the coloured light to bounce off the mirror it should give some interesting effects!

How about an octagonal summer house?
One side open or openable to get in and out, 6 stained glass, one solid with mirror on internal wall to make the most of the internal reflections.
If you fancied a kaleidoscope effect and could source a few more mirrors you could have more than 8 sides and room for a bigger seating area inside

What colours are in the stained glass, and how much light gets through? what about a dual purpose summer house cum mushroom shed??

I hung one panel up in the summerhouse window to see how it looked. I'm quite impressed and may just hang them in front of each window at varying heights. The sun wasn't shining so I didn't get the full effect.

I am sure you know Snadger but will make the point anyway just in case. Proper leaded lights in decent nick fetch good money.

I gave it a good clean before hanging!
