A Swedish friend of mine, told me that was how they used to dry their washing. Leave it out to freeze, then give it a sharp, vigorous shake which would shake all the ice out and leave the washing nearly dry.

It would help if my washing line hadnt broken with the bedding on it !!! It went over the fence and landed on next door's washing line so didnt touch the floor. That was a couple of weeks ago still waiting to get it fixed.

At least it didnt land on the ground. The neighbour phoned me up and said do you know your washing is on my line, I wondered what on earth she was talking about. Then it clicked at least it was nearly dry and not muddy like it would have been had it stayed on my side.
