  • Simple little things........

I've had a good day at work today, even though I wasn't expecting it.

Question is: What simple, little things have made you smile today?

Mine is, Mr & Mrs Duck came for their tea tonight, and the sparrows finished off what was left of their tea. To explain, for the last 10 years+ wild ducks have come to our front lawn for a couple of months to have their breakfast and tea - and they are here again this year.

What has made you smile today?

PS Yes, I talk to them, and Im sure they understand what Im saying!

Sarz has made me smile. She might not know it yet, but she has. So have some other Grapes [they know who they are].

And - my French Onion Soup was lovely.

And - I found my P60 so I can finish off my tax return [groan]. But I like to get it done asap.

Going to the lottie any minute - that always makes me smile.

Seeing the first flower buds on our grapevine made me smile today. Every time I see something grow I smile :-)

This morning I bought six big russet brown eggs from a neighbour to have for my tea. (Not all six, you understand!)
I pulled the first of my own spring onions for a salad. Lovely!
This evening Mr and Mrs Merganser brought their one scraggly duckling to rootle in the harbour below our garden.
My son emailed me with pics of the herbs he and his partner are growing in their London flat. It's wonderful to see the joy of growing things spread around, even if it is only in a small way.

This evening I picked our first ripe cherries and presented them to my eargerly waiting grandaughter, who'd had her eye on them for weeks!!! Aaah the joy of nature and children.

Made me smile so much - well laughing really. I was making Hayden laugh so much that LadyWayne thought he was going to be sick - she could hear him laughing from downstairs.

I had a tear in my eye.

One strawberry is almost fully ripe with many more coming along at the green stage - a good reason to smile.

                Fab Evening!

This has made me smile today...in fact, I'll admit they made me cry - I am just too soppy sometimes!

http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ics_34968.html Put the link in because it seemed silly to put the photos on yet again, but don't want to seem to be blowing my own trumpet. Anyway, it's DD's trumpet.....!!

Getting cosy in my Aran cardie now the weather's dropped.
Saying Goodnight to the chicks & having two nestle into my hand.
And as always watching the kiddies play.
Even wanted to have a little grin when Ash was telling me how he'd been a bit naughty for most of the day at school, but he was so proud that he'd managed to be good for a little while this morning!
I shall probably have another one when I go check on them before bed...they look so perfect when they're sleeping!
Also a bunch of slightly mad grapes that cheered my rather dull day of sorting a busted freezer!
Guess it's actually been a pretty happy day all in all!
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Hearing someone described, in a regional dialect, in less than flattering terms. A bit cryptic but will be understood by those concerned.

watching my 6 year boy and 4 of his friends in the paddling pool doing the obligitory 'willy dance' at the top of the waterslide - Why we 3 mums ask? Because they're boys and they can!! Then watching them demolishing vast quantities of homemade pizza and lollies for pud - it's hungry work willy dancing!
