Some of you Frenchies will sympathise with this.

Having spent nearly all day on the veggie patch I was looking forward to collapsing on the sofa with my feet up watching rubbish on the tv, but what do I find when I come in ????

Another power cut due to the strikes and it's only just come back on

EDIT - no strikes here either

No EDF strikes here, but someone will be striking for something thats for sure. Tis the national sport here. The cheese factory was closed Thursday Friday because of a strike, the local train line was picketed on Tuesday and we have education strikes here a plenty.
I do sympathise but I also have a grudging respect for the French system it must be said.

Shoot me down if you wish!

OK, I know £$%&-all about politics, but shouldn't we be more like the French?

At least they have the b*lls to stand up, unite and strike for what they believe - not like us, we just sit and moan about the carp that we're fed!

                            No strikes here either...yet

..all the more reason to get that wood burning stove bought before the end of this year then when the tax allowance finishes!
We use fioul to heat the house, and are considering a few extra elec radiators... although I think we need to be more self sufficient !
