  • The Restaurant

I'm not sure whether anyone has mentioned this today so i thought I'd bring it up anyway.

Is anyone else addicted to the restaurant and a bit gutted that its the final one tonight?

I'm not sure what it is but i'm totally addictied to this series and although I want to find out who gets the restaurant I don't actually want it to finish.....

Yup, it's my main TV watching action at the mo. Those 2 lads just make me chuckle.

I want the cheerful soul people (whos name escapes me at mo) to win cause i think they got a bit more about them and deserve it as they have won restaurant of the week 3 times, and the 2 lads are rubbish! How they made it to the final is amazing but i do think for some reason that they might win it

The 2 lads will definitely get it; they should have been thrown out ages ago but I think he likes them. I hope the Cheerful Soul get it though.

I'm rooting for the cheerful sole too, some of the others were reeeally bad!

Sorry, the woman from The cheerful Soul gets on my nerves, irrational I know, a bit like being able to stand Carol Kleine - I don't mind her, OH has to leave the room!

Not too sure the boys deserve to win though.

I reckon that the two blokes might win cos one of them can actually cook - I presume Raymond figured that cooking was the hardest thing to teach a potential partner. Some of the food that earlier contestants served up was pretty naff to say the least!

The biggest eye opener on the show as a whole is how little all of them seem to know about fresh food and seasonality - they never seem to go down to the local market and build their menu around what is available.

Wrong couple won IMHO. We've watched through most of the series - I would have awarded the prize to the guys.

                  Oooops Heros - bibi

I'm glad they won; I think the boys were just too much of a liability.

I thought that right at the end when the two winners said why they should open a restaurant with Raymond, when they expressed a 'common cause' that that was exactly why he chose them. In the end you had to wonder whether the other chef ever really tasted his food, it was chewy!

I think the best two won.

Err, oooh I'm not sure its there any more zazen I've not been into Derby for about 8 years...but one was the Durham Ox chippy, opposite the pub of that name at the bottom of Burton Road (town end) and Nicky's Fish Bar on the Spot was good...

Just seen the winners on BBC breakfast tv - they sounded good and that Mr Blanc, he's a nice man.

Haven't watched this series, but what I saw of last night - the lady that won, whilst very very attractive, seemed to have very little going on upstairs. Her eyes seemed always somewhat vacant...
