 Ready for the Festivities ? Thats the Reestit Mutton (salt lamb) and Tattie Soup made (with home grown tatties, carrots, turnip and leek) and bannocks ready (bought ones I'm afraid). That's the Shetland food for New Year Festivities. Wonder what you do elsewhere in Scotland. I know its a Steak Pie in Glasgow at 11 pm (so its all round to Alice's for that  ).Visiting here starts after 12 midnight and goes on really for the next few days. We shall be out most of tomorrow and Tuesday afternoon and evening, just visiting friends. Its a great time of the year. Hope you all have a good one       |

| Happy New Year to all,just booze on the menu here I think,might manage a cheese straw and bag of crisps,glad the thunder storms passed,gales broke my wind break and I thought it was supposed to be the other way round. |
