  • Quick, someone get the gaffer tape

    It's all falling apart!

I dunno - I'm glad this is all happening before Bean is born. I should be superhuman by then!

Ok, so my back's fooked, and I'm off to see the specialist next week - that's well documented.

Just been to the doctors to have my ears syringed (after the first attempt failed to shift it last week). I was sent away with another appointment for week after next and given the instruction to "oil" my ears at least twice a day until then. Just had a call from the nurse and having spoken to the GP, he's suggested I am referred to the ENT specialist to have it sucked out (my fear is the "blockage" may in fact be my brain).

At the same time she took my blood pressure and said it was high (didn't say what, but I'm sure I saw 110 as the second figure). I'm also due a cholesterol check, so I've been booked in for that too.

On top of all that LadyWayne's mum called last night to tell us that after weeks of tests/retests LW's grannie has been diagnosed with Alzheimers.

I've suggested LadyWayne still has time to trade me in for a more reliable model before Bean arrives.

I'm looking forward to Centre Parcs at the weekend I tell ya!!

There are people out there with far more to deal with than me, and they have my utmost admiration for it - I just don't know how these people cope - they deserve medals I reckon.

    Oh Dear!!!
Sure they'll have you fixed in time for Bean,& pretty certain if they accidentally suck out your brain, then they'll be kind enough to pop it back for you!

That's a whole heap o sh*t landing on you all at once HW Try & contemplate one thing at a time though
Could you blood pressure be affected by painkillers? It will almost certainly be affected by stress/anxiety about your situation...
Dunno about ears, but I'm sure they won't suck your brain out by accident

Lady Wayne's Granny But if they've established that's what it is, there are things they can do to slow it down these days. She'll just have to make sure she makes the most of the here & now, see her as much as poss. My Nana had it, and we had a good few years before she stopped recognising us. Heartbreaking though when that starts happening.

Anyway, best wishes, and (((hugs))) to both you. You'll get through this cac because you have to, same as everyone does. What's the alternative?!

It will level out, try not to get stressed - stress is responsible for so much crappola stuff, bloody hard not to at times tho!

I am sorry about LW's grannie, nasty nasty disease, but as Sarz says it is better managed nowadays - not nice tho

Stick with it...sometimes these things do all come at once but as soon as Bean comes along you will be in baby heaven.

Oh Wayne, you've got your troubles all at once - but that's the way they usually come. You just have to work through it and remember that it will all come right. Keep cheerful and think positive. And if it helps, remember we are all thinking about you.
              Hope you feel better soon.

Looks like Lynda hit the sh*t fairy with a bat and she landed on your doorstep!

Chin up and enjoy Center Parks - I haven't been for five years, coz we bought a Caravan, and I'd love to go - except we can't afford it now of course.

When you get there, get your lanky self into a hot-tub, turn on the bubbles and have a fabulous break - I'm envious!

I'll be making full use of the hot tub, sauna and steam room in our lodge. Trouble is, as with everything - the hot tub "seats" are shaped for someone smaller than me, so I just have to sit upright sorta. Bit like the bath at home (which also has bubbles - and no, they're not Wayne-made).

I'll also make full use of the alcohol we'll be taking with us too!

Hope things get better soon HeyWayne. Which centre parcs are you visiting? There's one about ten miles away from us in Edwinstowe. Have fun, but take it easy.

Oh eck, can you not trade your body in?

I'd have thought the painkillers are affecting your BP. If the second figure was 110, that IS high! Mine is normally between 100-120/60-90.

You enjoy the alcohol, Wayne, but don't forget to stop taking the painkillers before! You'll be high as a kite (actually, maybe you should keep taking 'em, lol!)

Sherwood - we always go there, have been for the past 8 or so years at least once a year. We just go there to get away from it all, to chill out and do as little as possible. When we first started gong we'd hire bikes, nook activities and all sorts, but things soon started to get quite busy and you needed to book/queue for things (I'm known for not being a very good queuer), so we just kick back now and maybe go for the odd swim/walk (I actually go for a walk most mornings before everyone else is up).

Be the last time we go without one extra person though!

If they suck out your brain, try sniffing it back up yer nose - Snuffer will give you lessons.

Seriously though, it's no wonder your blood pressure was high given the rest of the news. A relaxing hol will help.

Urmmmmm...just a little question Wayne...why on earth would you want to have your ear wax removed just before Bean arrives??? I'd have thought you'd have been pleased to have diminished hearing for now!!

I wouldn't worry about not hearing Bean crying in the middle of the night...if babs doesn't make the volume to waken you, the elbow in the ribs will do the trick!
