  • Pinch, punch, first of the month.......

Here we are then. Another month = another load to do.

Rotovating where the early spuds were, finishing of the huge brassica cage, hopefully getting my first egg from my new chooks, clearing a massive pile of rubbish and cutting a couple of slabs to fit into the greenhouse.

So much to do and this month I am determined to do it!

No exactly a project to be completed this month, but after the invasion of the horse/mares tails on my paths, am going to sort my paths out on my lottie once a for all. Thick black plastic is in the process of being put down, then I need the £, and to decide what I'm going to use for my paths. DETERMINED this winter to sort them out once and for all!

My shed needs painting as well, I have the paint and the brushes just need the weather to be dry for a few hours. The strawberry bed needs weeding and sorting out loads of runners. Onions to buy and plant soon.

We have just done our path and we got free wood chip from the processing place that the rubbish from the tip gets taken to, do you have something like that in your area. Ask at the local tip what happens to all the wood. Its not brilliant stuff but its free, my path is approx 15ft and took 8 bags ( compost bags ) I need about another 4 bags to top it up.

My task for the day (can't see far enough ahead for a whole month's worth of jobs!) is to plant out some chard in the back garden for chookie winter treats. Better get on with it!

My first task for September is to make an outfit for Saturday. I'm going to a hen night and they all want to wear 80s tat. I would like something a little more original so I'm going for Bananarama-cum-Madonna. Possibly with some Pete Burns thrown in. It's going to get awfully messy...
