how come your produce never looks like it does on the seed packet, i'm starting to feel a macdonalds style advertisement coming on,

i mean i pulled up 2 radishes today and thy were all mis-shapen and already half eaten (including the leaves)

sometime i feel like unwins and such should put a picture of the true product on the seed packet

    although i don't mind mis-shapen veg

It's not Unwins fault that you've got stony ground
which is the main reason for mis-shapen roots.

I can't grow radish well either. The slugs always take a few bites out of each and every one. Why they can't finish one and leave the rest alone, I don't know. Perhaps they have 2 second memories?

    "mmm, lunch". Bite. "yuk, radish"
    Shuffle on a bit.

If they put a picture of a real product, hardly anybody would buy it.A few years ago when I was still unaware of slugs, decided to put a few seeds into the ground. One of them were radishes. On the outside they looked perfect-healthy plants, could see how big the root was. When I pulled them out of the ground,EVERY single one looked like apple core. How did they manage to not to show any signs of plant damage on the leaves-I haven't got a clue
