  • percy charlies pregnancy update.

    Just another quick update.

im now 26 weeks, and been sorting out bits and bobs and washing all the whites i kept from my daughter and putting them in draws, changed the bedroom to accommadate the cot.
had my physio appointment and have been diagnosed with spd the pregnancy related pelvis problem, and been provided with a support band and exercises, and will be evaluated by the consultant in feb to determine if better or worse and how they will manage labour and wether i can have a natural birth or will need a c section (hoping to avoid the latter) im in quite a lot of pain as even walking hurts and turning on my side when asleep in excrusiating, the condition does worry me as i know someone who had it and there pelvis broke during delivery, so hopefully il get a consultant who really knows about the condition.
baby didnt play ball at the scan and kept its legs crossed so its gender is currently a suprise, how ever im measuring big for dates according to the midwife so if still measuring big on next appointment will be given a growth scan so will ask for a second opion on the gender if i need the scan, this happened first time round but baby was average weight but long causing me to measure big and this one feels long too, they said with my first she be 9.5lbs but was only 7.4lbs still is tall and thin.
its giving me sleepless nights already as very active, and making me constantly hungry especially for cucumber and chocolate not together being care with the amount of the latter, so far i weigh the same as when i got pregnant, thanks to the really bad morning sickness at the begining.
this time round my bump looks like one of those beach ball up the jumper baby bumps where with my daughter i was barrel shaped and pregnant all over bum included. so like the new shape better.
will post another update soon take care everyone percy charlie

Oohhh...exciting times! Yucky to have SPD though - I had a bit of it when pregnant with with little baby girl and I can feel the early niggles of it again now. I had pain with walking and turning in bed and was a bit worried about whether it would affect birth but it was totally fine.

I measured a bit small for dates last time and never even got into maternity clothes (apart from a 'lovely' pair of maternity jeans) and I'm hoping to be similar this time as baby girl was a nice healthy 6 lbs 8.

I don't really have a bump yet with Sweet Pea (I was 5 1/2 months before I got one last time!) but happily indulging in same 'cravings' as last time (peanut butter, popcorn and marmite). Actually, I call them cravings, but it's just the stuff I eat all the time, just more of it... with less guilt...

We're predicted to have a long baby too - but then with me at 6ft 7, and LadyWayne at 6ft it doesn't take Einstein to work that one out!

I'm booked in to have an epidural tomorrow morning - just so that I can sympathise come labour day.

LadyWayne has had a fairly trouble-free pregancy thus far, let's hope it continues for another few weeks (or until Bean arrives at least). We're 35 and a bit weeks now.

Hope it all goes well tomorrow. Do you have to "stay in?"

Glad the pregnancy is going well, the second one does seem to go on forever!

I had SPD with baby no 2 and it was not nice at all so you have my sympathy. I was already booked for c-section (had emergency one with my first) and to be honest they are great! After having 33hours of labour, then the section first them round. Having second baby 'cold' with section. Either way I wold always recommend one. I healed much quicker than with the emergency one too.

Good luck with it all! I am sooooo broody for another one but don't tell OH!

No experience of being up the duff, so can't advise on that, but hope the spd doesn't cause problems and that you're able to have a natural and trouble free labour. Good luck (you too, Wayne!).
