    P P I Insurance

    Sorry if this has been covered before, But have just recieved offers from my bank for just over Three grand in repayments! (Loan and credit card) Yippee!
    Anyone out there who doesnt think its worth bothering-Just do it. All I did was make a few phone calls- didnt pay anyone a penny-was thinking of going with one of the companies who take a big chunk for their efforts, but thought what the heck-Glad I did now. Yes, i did spend over an hour being given the runaround on the phone, but time well spent!
    Got another couple of Other old cards to chase now ive got the bit between my teeth- The money couldnt have come at a better time, things were really getting tight. all in all took about 10 weeks to recieve the offer.

        Seriously though, the idea of the post was to say that it realy is that easy and if i can do it so can anyone. Lot of people are put off as i was to start with by the thought of filling in endless forms or paying someone else, But it really can just take a phone call now.

          Well done, lovely feeling isn't it getting that amount back.We did this a few years ago and got back a good amount with interest as well. Result!

            Nice one. We just got a few hundred back for a loan, I think Madmax said there is a credit card one that he will see about too. We just applied at the bank.

              Yes, lovely feeling, and interesting to note the breakdown shows that the amount of interest applied as a result of ppi on the account and refunded is actually more than the premiums refunded! plus the nice bit is theve added 8% interest on the whole refund, so its not been a bad little savings plan afterall lol- If only it hadnt got many of us into financial problems to start with.

                Money saving expert have a free letter you can download and adapt for your own circumstances. I've done this for myself and the in laws, we only recovered about £200 quid but the inlaws stopped paying their mortgage 3 years early as a result of it.

                Its worth checking your records, and recovering what is rightfully yours, I would also not advocate going to the companies that will do it on your behalf,as its so simple and only takes a minimal amount of effort on your part.

                    We were made to take out PPI when we took out a car loan with Northern Rock. Hmm... who went bust as it wasn't us. Time to claim I think

                      excuse me for being a bit thick here........but what is PPI insurance , I'm not sure if we have or ever have had it ......

                          Yes, it may be worth a lot more than you think-Costs nothing to do and is quite easy, I honestly never thought it worth trying at one time, but just remember- Its Your money and you have a legal right to it. Good luck!

                            I tired to claim 2 years ago and gave up on the first refusal letters PPI total on two loans would have been over 10k for the period 2001-2008 and 2004-2009.

                              Well worth another try, lenders have been under intense pressure from goverment and pressure groups recently and the Ombudsman is very suppotive of claims now as a last resort.

                                I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
