    Out of Africa

    And back to Asia. This morning I saw the dawn break over the tourist hotspot of Islamabad. And what a wonderful sunrise it was.
    Not had a time to look round yet, only got in yesterday evening after a whirlwind trip round the world to get here (good air miles though) but am already on the look out for exotic plants that I might be able to butcher bits from to bring back home.
    Rather annoying as I was supposed to be having PW and his lady around for a night and a sociable shandy, but clearly the offer still stands the next time you pass.

                    Well, I got here on Saturday evening about 7pm after setting off from my house at 4pm Friday. Rather tired, but was forced to go to a bbq to get to know people. Today has consisted of eating top food for brunch in the poshest hotel in town, in the name of a business meeting??
                    My garden is under the tender hands of the guy who killed all my lunar test leeks and toms, but everything appears to be easier for him now??
                    Ze German is now working in Ze Fatherland I think, nowhere near me thank heavens.
                    Going to Karachi tomorrow night for a week or so, to have a look round there, but it appears I will be mainly based here in Islamabad, with restaurants, golf courses, squash courts and a massive park.
                    The buttermeister no longer indeed. French contract laws are a bit different than the UK, but if they had offered me a full time contract (CDI) I would probably have taken it, however they didnt so here I am.
                    I am hoping my bhut will be safe, although I was ushered into the country by a delightful immigration lady in Karachi, going by the name of Ruby Butt. I didnt comment but soooo wanted to.

                        For those less 'chilli-minded' this is the bhut I was referring to! Perhaps not quite in your area Bob, however there might be some interesting chillies to be had - you know there's lots of chilli-heads on this mb!

                        Are you not watching the T20 cricket atm? I imagined it'd be on all the screens where you are?

                          I am indeed Manda, and not sure how we are going to do. Could have done with another 20 runs I think.
                          Difficult though as I'm 5 hours ahead of you and have to be up reasonably early.

                            We could have done with another captain as well! If you're 5 hrs ahead, you know the result?! Just caught another - we need more wickets for sure.

                              Will be tired on my first days work tomorrow, but well worth it. Surely not even England could lose from this position could they?
