  • Opting out of Yellow Pages

We've just had the yellow pages delivered. It went straight into the recycle box, but they will not take it. Does any one know how we can arrange to stop delivery?

No but I can tell you how much an advert in one costs!

Yep I saw it somewhere (BT.com?) and wrote down the numbers:

      Yellow pages - 0800 671 444

      White pages - 0800 833 400 (option 5)
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower

I see you still have the banner SBP, the mods a bit slow in passing it on eh.

our council take yellow pages in our paper bins (think it was under pressure from the public) so i'ts worth contacting them, cos they can be recycled.

Our old council has a special bin for yellow pages at the recycling depot, but wouldn't collect them.....

We can put Yellow Pages & catalogues (like Argos) in our recycling bin, but it'd make much more 'eco-sense' not to produce the bloomin things for people who don't want them

Honestly I never use mine either. Way back I used to use it all the time but these days numbers and services can be easily looked up on Google which gives maps and directions too if you need them.

Have just opted out too - tend to use the web site if I want anything and at least I can find that easily! We can't recycle ours as the paper quality is too low and would reduce the overall quality of the rest of the recycling. As somebody said above, best not to produce them for people who don't want them.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
