Tell me about it! I live just over the boarder next to the m62 and there are times I can watch it coming over!! Sorry, not really blaming you, just so sick of the rain. My plot looks more like Glastonbury after the concert!

If I look out of my front window, I can see a hill, just over the other side of the hill it's Lancashire. I can see bad weather coming from there ages before it gets here, and I reckon a good 80% of our bad weather comes from that direction... The other 20% comes from Keighley end. The nice weather comes from Skipton
Looks like "sunshine & showers" today though - the sun's back out Yay!!!

Complete change of plans today. I was going to Scotland to work on the cottage I am renovating but now the sun has come out I've decided to stay home and spend much needed time on my plot.

Already done 2 hours weeding and back home for breakfast before I go again.

Must make the most of this dry spell.

I was hoping for some grubbing in the muck - have to see how things go. After chatting here and another cuppa - I have the task of making our entry for the village scarecrow competition - I hope the rain eases off next week or there's going to be some seriously soggy straw people round here! We have the theme of fairy tales and nursery rhymes this year. Sleeping Beauty for me - then I don't have to rig up a means of making her vertical!

Once she's up and running (so to speak) I'll get back to the weeding - and I've a few potted brassicas dying for a chance to get their roots down in the garden.

Hey guess what! The sun is actually shining! Well, for five minutes anyway! The black rain clouds are gathering in the direction of my lottie. Tough, I'm going down to have a play anyway. Bernie

Typical! Just as we decide to buy a new fridge freezer) and have to rip out the kitchen in order to fit the new one in, and refit it again tomorrow after its delivered) the weather goes from soggy to lovely overnight! Managed to get down the plot for an hour or so and do some harvesting, but desperately need to do some serious weeding again!

We had a glorious day yesterday, just right for a local "carnival" and fun fair. I even managed to get two (yes 2) loads of laundry dry outside. Wahay! No more chinese laundry effect decor.

And yes the sun has come out again today. Our resident lawn mowers are doing a great job when we put them out. Mr EB hasn't had the lawn mower out for weeks.

Sheffield's seen the worst flooding in history, if this kind of weather is gonna become the norm i'm going to turn my lottie into a rice paddy, or maybe plant some mangrove trees....

Oi, you lot - you're going to scare the sun away!

I put on Ceefax for the weather last night - the Sunday Day forecast was nearly done with (it runs 6am-6pm), and it said "Showers, possibly with thunder." I just had time to think, "Well, we haven't had any of that here", when there was a distant rumble....Within 20 minutes it was tipping it down!

I've sent you a private message Littleweed, with details of the competition and the village show (sounds like The Archers, doesn't it?)
