  • oil filled radiators

Hiya, I have been lent 2 oil filled radiators. As I have turned them on they are making a dripping/dribbling sound. Is this normal?? I have had oil filled radiators before and they never made a sound.

    Hi Jax

i've got a small oil filled radiator for when the weather is extreme. I've had it on the last few nights and it does make a ticking, sort of dribbling noise when it starts heating up, always has done.

Jax I always think they sound like the fish fryer being put on! It's the oil warming up!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Same here - the thermostat annoys me when you hear it click on/off too! Really loud.

Have two oil filled radiators - one for about 12 years and the other bought last year. Both tend to make 'dripping/gurgling' noises when they are heating up and cooling down.
