So sorry, what rotten timing just before Christmas. Hopefully, one day you'll look back at this time and see it as a stepping stone that encouraged you to change track for the better.

          Oh Dig. Sorry.
Don't do what I did in the last recession ... treat it as a holiday. Get looking for summing else pronto. I had myself a 3 month "holiday" and couldn't get back into full time work for years afterwards.

Really sorry to hear that Dig. Hope something much better comes your way soon. But, as you say, with the extra time for 'digging and reading' your veggies should be excellent next year.

Sorry to hear your bad news.
I have been unemployed for three years now & my wife(Madderbat)has been on incapacity benefit for four years.
On the bright side we have the allotment which saves us £10-£15 a week.
I qualify for pension credits in the new year.
As I am nearly 60 the chances of me getting a job is almost nil I shall consider myself retired in February.
In your case I would check out the benefit system to see what you can claim.
I do hope though that you get a new job pretty soon.

Sorry to hear your bad news. Real crap just before Christmas but then again if it had been at any other time it would have been just as bad. (Real crap just before summer hols., real crap just before birthday).

Try and enjoy your enforced holiday and good luck with what ever you try in the future.

Sorry to hear that you have lost your job. You could try and get a christmas job some people are taking on staff, like the post office, M & S and I'm sure there are others. good luck.

Rotten, sorry to hear that. Hope things are not too bad for you - your veggie plot sounds like it might benefit though!

What a rotten blow. Still, if you can be positive it's a chance to change your life. Good luck!

I use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite, the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
