  • An ode to pollen

I know it is rather important
    without it seeds wouldnt grow
but its really nasty yellow stuff and oh my
it gets right up my nose

It makes my eyes all itchy
if I so much as sniff a rose
cos in the Spring & Summer
it gets right up my nose

It makes my mouth all itchy
what can scratch it do you supose
my tongue has to do it cos
it gets right up my nose

It makes my nose run night & day
    even with windows closed
I really am fed up with this stuff cos
it gets right up my nose

Thanks for reading my little rhyme
    and listening to my woes
about the nasty yellow stuff and how
IT GETS RIGHT UP MY NOSE!

ahhhhh I feel a little bit better now

makes you itch and makes you scratch

I've never been a sufferer, but had a friend at school who had it all summer, every summer. You have my sympathy.

No, sorry, have to disagree - it's a-pollen, they both are !

Of course, it might just be that I am a-verse to doggerel....

How about a poem in praise of spring, and how great a releaf it is ?
