    Numeral Cake Tins/Frames

    Hi There,

    Been asked to track down a 5 and 0 cake frames/tins to make a 50th wedding anniversary cake.

    These appear to be of limited supply and tres cher!

    Does anyone know of any reasonably priced retailers of these items? I have seen a couple on Ebay (Big Aluminium ones from Malaysia and plastic ones - too small). No frames..

    Seen a couple of online retailers that do them @ £23 each.... or £45 each...

    Thanks for any pointers!

    Often cake shops hire stuff like this out.
    Also worth checking cake decorating shops locally to see if they hire them.
    How often after this time are they likely to use them...makes sense to hire.

          I'd be looking for somewhere to hire them from too. Our local kitchen equipment shop also has a cake decorating dept., and they hire out loads of different cake tins.

          Or, just use rectangles and cut the numbers out using a template?

                I hired a 9 and a 0 when my grandad was 90, had to put a deposit down which I think was quite a lot but got that back and the hire bit was very reasonable.

                Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

                Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
