  • New Years Resolutions???

Well mine WAS to not eat as much chocolate, but I've broken that one already...blinking Thornton's Continental Rum Truffles...they keep jumping into my mouth every-time I walk past the box .

    Question...

What resolution have you broken...if any!

Are you really good & been able to keep to your's? Or have you not bothered this year and think there a waste of time?

I stopped making them because they only last a day at the most
    Location....East Midlands.

I stopped making them too. For the same reason.

My new years resolution was not to make a new years resolution!

Resolutions are same as usual, eat healthier, drink less, get more exercise, lose weight. Haven't broken any yet and I was out cycling in the freezing cold today so that's a good start

Like a scratched record - they're like promises, like pie crusts, made to be broken.

I was thinking I ought to resolve to be more forthright and honest. OH then decided he would have to go on a paramedic course, if I really was going to tell people what I really thought

I have a resolution that I won't drink alcohol during January... part of it is that I need to stay 'dry' in the run up to donating stem cells in mid-January; so I figured that if I have to not drink for half a month, I may as well do a whole month!

                    Otherwise, not making any more!

Don't think I've ever made a New Year Resolution although often make pacts with myself throughout the year to do more or less of something. Think there is too much pressure on Jan 1st which is a rubbish time of year anyway and prefer to do things when it fits in with me rather than when I'm told to.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

The plan to lose weight continues (after a Christmas Holiday, so first stage is to lose what I gained over Christmas). Otherwise, no, I've never seen the point of waiting for 'New Year' to decide what better habits to adopt, either I will manage it or not, and the date of starting will be the date I thought of it (or the day after some reason to do otherwise).
