agree dont think ive ever done them. ive done as of next month i'm going too...
new year is a bit silly too me, if you go out its a always a big let down!
and one if not both of us is working!
so the hootenanny with jools and a cuddle is what we do.
but good luck to all making life changing decitions, and if it helps to save the planet even better!

Have three resolutions:

1 - to stop buying stuff on impulse, especially cookery books!
2 - to cycle as many of my short journeys as possible, hmmm this one could get broken tomorrow on my first day back to work!
3 - to create less waste and to recycle more of what we do produce.

Not expecting to be perfect but am in it for the long haul!

I think this year I need to be kind to myself!

I know this may sound selfish, but I have spent the last 30 yrs putting others way before myself.
I'm sure the inner me will find this habit difficult to break though!!

Whatever you decide...I hope the year is good to you!

My resolution, to keep on trying to keep my new years resolution.
To loose some weight.
To walk more and drive less.
To be more positive.
Will keep on trying.

I dont do resolutions (they don't seem to work for me) but for the past 8 years have made Wish lists each year. Surprisingly a lot of them have come true. Here's my wish list for 2007

To get fitter and lose some weight (stopped smoking in Oct, joined a gym in Nov so am halfway there on that one I hope)

Decorate our bedroom - should have been done last Summer.

Acknowledge and give thanks for the blessings we have and

Stop worrying about things I can't control.

Of course, world peace and an end to all wars and poverty would be lovely, maybe a little unrealistic.

I don't do resolutions either for the same reason. I don't do "ought", "should" or "must". I, like you MB, do however do a sort of wish list which kind of goes:-

1 I'd like to lose some weight but I'm not going to beat myself up over it.
2 I'd like to get my finances under control
3 I want to get the business website up and running before the next tax year starts.
4 I'm going to get cracking on BYO, improve my range and crops of GYO and what I do with them
5 I'm going to start celebrating the wheel of the year properly.

Those are the main things I will be trying to bear in mind during the year. However as I have now hit 40 ***big fanfare*** I shall do it in my own time in my own way. 40 feels quite liberating.

This year I would really like to:

1. Keep going with my allotment, each small patch wrested back from the brambles is worth the effort!
2. Be more organised with my recycling
3. Carry on doing a monthly budget, only this year sticking to it.
4. Get a workable routine with the housework so I can spend more time on the lottie on my days off.
5. for the 20th year running, i would really really like to stop biting my bloody nails.
6. Get the room my stepsons use when they stay decorated.

Heres hoping...
