  • New Neighbour

I've just got a new lottie neighbour, he and his wife have taken over the next door 'ghost' plot - last bloke took it on same time as we got ours and did nada
(well cross, we defered to his age and let him have the nicer one)

Anyway, he has it nearly dug over in less than a week and even better put the resident know-it-all in his place! 'Brian' (not real name, just our nickname for him because he slimes over - magic roundabout) started giving new neighbour advice and actually said ooh you don't want to be doing it like that, you want to be doing it like this...New neighbour gave him short shrift - great no more hiding in the shed when I see 'Brian' approaching - Ill just go and stand behind my new best friend

OOO Have you nicknamed your new guy Florence???

Thats great - I'd be that kind of lottie owner. Gonna apply to the council for one!
Serene she stand amid the flowers,
And only count lifes sunny hours,
For her dull days do not exist,
    Evermore the optimist

Excellent! It's nice to have neighbours you get on with!...we're really lucky & all of ours are really nice also...& our resident "Brian" is more than a few plots away,so we only have to suffer him occassionally!!!(don't get me wrong...I'm always on the lookout for advice...but it's much more appreciated when asked for & not given in the form of critisism!)
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx

There is a guy on our site who I get on with but I try to avoid the days when I know he will be there cos he always has to make a comment about what I should or should not be doing. I just take what he says with a pinch of salt.
Takes a lot to upset me.

Since I have been going down to my allotment site, three other allotmenteers have warned me about our resident "Brian" know it all. I think every site in the country must have at least one of these guys who seem to spend most of their time on the site critising other people's plots.
I have not had the pleasure to come across this guy yet but its only a matter of time I guess.
Anyway Rogesse I am glad you have some new neighbours who are tackling the plot that will make for an enjoyable season.

Gardening should always be a pleasure and never a chore, only someone forgot to tell the weeds

"If you don't have a plan, a goal for yourself, then you are almost certainly a part of someone else's"

"The only thing that will stop you from fulfilling your dream is you"
