Default Nearly broke the car!

Was in Homebase today looking at plants for one of the schools I work at, saw compost, 3 bags for a £10 so bought 3 bags for me, then realised that both schools (who have seperate budgets) also needed more, so ended up buying 9 big bags of compost!
Very kind shop assistant helped me out to the car with it all, (fortunately it is a peugeot partner) and he loaded it all into the boot.
Well, the boot wouldn't shut would it? we moved the bags around and they definately weren't blocking the boot from shutting, but in the end the nice chap tied my boot shut and sent me home.
turns out the weight of the compost was stopping the clip from connecting with its catch
Fortunately, without my 3 bags, the boot is now shutting
