Name that program please?

I don't know what they called it, but I had it on in the back ground and enjoyed what I caught, I'm sure there's another part on next week because the news readers took over from the country file lot, I don't have a T.V mag, but I think they called it "Around the world in 80 days for children in need" or something like that??

"Around The World in 80 Days" I think.

Has different people on it each week I think. I was told about it only because it had Lee Mack (my doppelganger apparently) on one week, and they played my kinda pusic. I put it on the following week, but it had George Alagiar (sp?) and Kate Silverton presenting, so I didn't watch it.

It's stirring up a bit of controversy actually - accusations of being a jolly for the celeb and the film crew, when previous similar 'sleb out in the world' attempts only raised in donations a tiny bit of the cost of making the programme.

I guess it raises the charity profile, and glad it's entertaining (I didn't see it) but I did read there is some heat surrounding it...

Your can get it on BBC iPlayer. I've got it all downloaded for tonight's viewing (one of the advantages/disadvantages of not having a TV!)

I saw a little bit last night (it was Julie Bradbury, who seems to get everywhere, these days!).

It did look like a bit of a jolly. I'd have been more impressed with them doing something along the lines of Michael Palin, sticking perhaps with two celebs.

The bit I saw, the celebs were collecting items in all sorts of odd places, items to be auctioned for the charity. If the costs came out of 'program making expenses' then they are not relevant to the charity. If the BBC weren't making THAT program, they would be making something else. That one might get some cash to the appeal.
