  • My 3yr old makes me chuckle...

He is sooo funny sometimes - he was rummaging about in his homemade turkey burger this evening and when I asked him what he was doing he said 'I'm just having a quick fertle (furtle / firtle?) about in the burger to see if there is any more onion in it'. He doesn't like onions.

I fell about laughing... clearly he takes notice of mummy in the garden!

Three year olds are just great, aren't they? My grandson is 3 next week and I know I just want him to stay like this forever. It's because they're starting to try and make sense of the world themselves at this age rather than just accepting everything they're given or told and sometimes their efforts and ideas are just sooooo funny and sweet. We took Tom camping a few days ago, we'd shown him pictures of tents and tried to explain everything, but after spending an hour helping us erect our tent he insisted on wandering into the one next door at every opportunity. Why? It took us a day or two to work it out, but the picture we'd shown him had been of a green tent, ours is blue, the one next door was green, therefore the green one was the 'right' one.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

What a lovely story janeyo - thanks for sharing. It gave Madmax and I a much-needed chuckle.

And OH made me chuckle too!

        That never happens

I asked him if he got a spare minute to hang the washing out for me.

When I looked he'd only gone and hung the DRY washing out that I had just fetched in, and left the wet stuff in the machine! LOL

Now I don't mean to lump all men in the same category here, but surely ONLY a man could have done this???!!!

We all have our blindspots in life, clearly his is laundry. I sell washing machine frequently, and can tell you all the technical jargon you are ever gonna need, but don't ask me how to use one I haven't the foggiest.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
