  • Mother/daughter dress swapping

So, my 18yo daughter is going to a Euro-vision Party tonight.
She is wearing a dress that I bought when I was 18 for my first 'proper' dinner dance.

Several things are shocking about this:
    a) I have a dress that is almost 30 years old
    b) The dress is still in pristine condition
    c) My rather trendy yet sophisticated 18yo daughter considers said dress suitable to wear in front of her friends

They always say if you keep something long enough it'll come back into fashion.
Hope she has a good time.

      Love it!

So long as she's not wearing one of those wrap arounds that just get whipped off a la 'making your mind up' 1984

Well shockingly my 19 year old son likes (pretty much) the same music as me, he thinks its cool to like people like Bob Dylan/Springsteen Magazine, Killing Joke, the fantastic Joy Division etc...His girlfriend borrowed a very 80's style coat of mine to wear out once....

Just goes to show what good taste we had (or have)

Who'd have thought Maxi dresses would be back in? I was obviously way too young then but both me and my 10 yr old daughter have one now!

I notice leggings and long tops are being worn again - like when I was 18 - 20.

That's when it was my age, not my size LOL
