My son had a toilet fall on him when he was 3. Imagine explaining that to the nurse at the hospital! We were replacing the bathroom, and had the new toilet sitting on the landing. The boys had gone to bed, but my older son (5), told the younger one to go and sit on the new toilet (he didn't 'go'). As it wasn't fixed, it fell over on his leg as he got off, fortunately no bones broken, but was I red faced trying to explain, especially as he was a 'regular'. I'm surprised we didn't ever get 'investigated'.

my pony threw me off over a jump and then jumped the jump on top of me and stood between my legs with a hoof- it was quite painful.

had to share this one even though it's not me...

one of my friends at uni was having uh.. a little session with his girlfriend. things got a little too 'lubricated' and he slipped and rammed himself into her pubic bone, ended up in casualty.

trust me to lower the tone eh?

Not so much an embarassing injury but you'll understand....
I was involved in a nasty car accident a few years ago, (vauxhall vectras and 42 ton HGV's do not mix), my car was spun of the road, i spun for approx 40 feet, crashed into motorway signs and the car was destroyed, smashed windows, back car doors smashed in over the back seats...you get the picture, i was dragged out the car by a passerby ( petrol tank had ruptured) and someone called 999, ambulance turned up and i put in the back, i was very lucky for as bad as it sounds i didnt have a mark on me, however when the ambulance guy wanted to do his checks on me he found a large number of bruises on my upper torso ( my mother was in the back of the ambulance by now) and started to panic as he thought i had internal bleeding/injuries etc... however i had to point out that prior to my accident i had been rather amorous with my oh and the bruises were actually love bites! oh the shame.......

I did a lot of cycling during my Finals, to try and save on the train fare (16 miles a day for 3 days).

I ended up with, ahem, nappy rash on my bits - unbelievably painful and unsightly, for weeks afterwards.

Fell down the stairs when 8 1/2 months pregnant - ended up with the largest bruise ever all over my bottom and lower back. Rapid explanations required for midwife in hospital when I stripped off to give birth! OH got some very mean stares until I could convince her that he hadn't beaten me up

I rubbed my eye when picking dandelions for wine. The eye came up like a fried egg! Himself took me to hospital it looked so bad. 'There', he said, 'That's you!' as we passed a sign saying 'Accidents, Walking!
A good flush out and it was ok but the medics seemed to pass around the story of how it had happened a little more that I thought necessary!

Was alittle embarassing taking my boy to A&E with suspected cellotape up his nose!!When I told reception I'm sure they didn't believe me~however on inspection he certainly had somehow managed!!Turned more to worry when it took the 3rd Doctor to finally manage to retrieve it!
Sending my girl to school with a broken arm has to be up there too! She'd fallen off her bed(low not bunk!)on the Saturday & I was going to go to A&E then but she carried on as normal with her playing/climbing I presumed it was just a sprain!Picked her up on the Monday & it had started to swell, even though the majority of mums were still trying to assure me it was just a sprain I thankfully followed my instincts & took her to the Docs who sent us straight to A&E where I had to explain she'd done it on the Saturday & it had taken me til the Monday evening to get it checked!(aparently I wasn't the 1st but it didn't make me feel any less of a bad mummy!!)
Last week I fell through a chair! My ribs only now seem to have recovered from the bruising!
