You have some very nice friends, PTD! What are you going to do with them?
Mine grew my best tomato crop the year before last - mainly because I could put them in a watering tray and the blight didn't nab my back garden!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Lucky you PTD. Every time I go down to Morrisons, I'm always too late - they seem to be all sold out by 8am. Glad to hear they've gone back to the larger size though.

          Where you been DK?
          Everyone knows about morrisons buckets.

They are the buckets that the cut flowers come in.
In our store they are by the cut flowers and are normally 99 pence for 8.

Drill holes in the bottom you have some nice big pots.

My mother-in-law brought me 20 florist buckets form Asda the other day, they didn't charge her, the week before last I picked up 16 from Morrison's for 99p. The florist on the market is also going to save me 20 after mothering Sunday, don't really need anymore but its good to have a stock of them lol

A tried and tested way to use double the normal number of buckets!
Get a large and a small bucket. Put drain holes in the smaller one, put it on a few stones inside the larger one. Water and feed into the larger one which is them sucked up by the smaller one. Ideal for growing tomatoes on a hard surface inside a GH as the water doesn't go all over the floor.

I bought 24 from the morrisons in Basingstoke for £3. I'm going to have a go at growing some spuds in them. The only thing was each pack of 8 had 4 large buckets with 4 smaller ones inside. I'm guessing it's only the larger ones that will be any good for potatoes so I might have to go back for some more.
