    Hey there oh awesome ones

doing something for my english at school called a QUEST

It's about a little troll called Stong, who is small stupid and smelly and his companion Critter, a classy suave and awesome pixie!
They have encounters with sirens and mermaids...

Anyone know anything about mythology (origins and stuff) tried wiki but can find much...

Do you mean the origins of all mythology?

I have a Larousse encyclopedia of mythology which defines it as 'the study of whatever religion or heroic legend is so foreign to a students experience that he cannot believe them to be true'

The function of mythology is described as a means of answering 'those awkward questions' about life the universe and everything and 'to justify an existing social system and account for traditional rites and customs' - a lot of it seems to depend on climate! An explaination of the origins and development of mythology is followed up with indepth info of prehistoric mythology through to that of Oceania and Africa.

I looked on the net and it does seem that the only mythology is Greek mythology when our own home grown stuff is just as interesting!
