Aldi are doing 40ltr bags of soil conditioner for £1.99 each! think is just a general offer as I got 2 bags at the weeekend. It is nice and dark and rich with not too many bits of wood and things in it. I have even used some as a potting compost as it is better than the Te%c* rubish that I bought the other week at £2.00 for only 20ltrs Cheek of it!

Yes,but I remember folks on the forum discussing Thursday bargains so that's why I thought about going to the city on Thursday...

Seems that Aldi has thursday and sunday special buys. Looks like it is all BBQ and camping stuff this week, only seeds at 35p.

Off topic, I stayed at Moray Firth a few years ago, very nice place :-)

I stay about 30 miles away from Inverness but must admit that Moray Firth views are really nice(especially if the weather's good).
Looks like I haven't got much luck with gardening bargains-(not) fair enough

I believe Aldi and Lidl are owned by the same people,so you may get the same things in either or neither or both.......init

Burnie, Aldi and Lidl aren't owned by the same people. They are total competitors. Having said that, a lot of the sale stuff from one shop can be very similar to the sale stuff at the other. Usually not the same week though.

Don't have a Lidl but we have an Aldi which is only 5 mins or so walk.

Our Aldi always has some gardening stuff in.

In the past Roses, fruit trees, flowers to plant out & various gardening tools.
Had a nice pair of shears with telescopic handles, rake & garden brush .
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Lidl, Aldi, Wilko's and Netto all have websites with their bargains on them.

You also have the option of getting regular updates by email!

Lidl from the 24th have some gardening stuff coming in (this is for the Telford St, Inverness store) Lidl Online

Aldi's offers all seem to be based on walking and camping for the next week or so.
