Used to live there, namely in Countesthorpe, for 8 years. Great time of my life living in the countryside which was a contrast from the seaside!

Hi potty potter, nice to meet you. Just seen your blogsite. We go past there when we go into the city (not very often). I used to work in Leicester - Humberstone Road side.

Yes Nick, God did make Warwickshire

for those not worthy of living in Leicestershire, the home of stilton and pork pies. At least your daughter has taste.

There are 7 licensed Stilton makers as it has "Protection of origin status".

Four are in Leicestershire, two in Nottinghamshire and one is in woollyback country (Derbyshire).

Stilton "The king of cheeses" to my mind one of the best cheeses in the world.

For those who profess not to like it, dont eat straight from the fridge, it has a much more rounded, subtle creamy flavour if eaten at room temperature.
