| What do you rate more? I need something for my knees when I do some weeding as sitting on a chair leaning over is a no no as is bending over or squatting. So what would I be best getting? I presume the mats are a lot cheaper?

| I have to say that I use knee pads quite a lot, cos of arthritis (aaah, poor old sod!) and I find them really useful, but yes, I have walked home with 'em on!!!

| I have a kneeling mat, one of those 'sit on it or kneel on it' thingybobs, and several pairs of kneepads, which I've collected over the years, and I have to say, the kneepads are my absolute favourite. They're brilliant, quite simply, because I'm never in one place for long. If I had to move a mat all day, as well as myself, I'd never get anything done! But as I said in another post earlier this year, I find them SO comfortable, I've been known to pop into Tesco or somewhere with them still on, and have no idea why people are being so rude starting at me! A bit like 'wearing a hat keeps you warm' principle, wearing kneepads keeps in your body heat as well, which you notice when you take them off. You'll soon make the right choice if you get one of each and try them out.

| Mr D has knee pads, which he loves, I have one of those sit on or kneel on thingies, and must say it is excellent, especially if in one spot for a while (and makes getting up very easy with the 'handles'), but if moving around knee pads are much more user friendly!

| Bright pink is a good idea- I bought a green one so it wouldn't look too bright- but once there are a few plants growing, it can be hard to find if I walk away and forget about it! Someone suggested keeping it inside a carrier bag so it's easier to spot- but I doubt you'll have that problem! |

| If you are getting knee pads, it's worth paying a bit extra for a decent pair - the cheaper foam rubber ones shred in no time - I use the same ones as sparky's and plumbers with the solid plastic kneecap on them. Will last me forever.

| Don't bother with knee pads, thats why my lottie clothes have a permanent stain on the knee area, along with paraffin stains down the front, manure stains on the legs and a worn backside the shape of my chair!!

| Get someone else to do it is the best way I usually look similar to Snadger I'm afraid but I do posess a kneeling pad that I sit on when I'm out walking
